Position: Project Coordinator
Summary: H2Ozarks is seeking a smart and energetic person to coordinate a new grant and loan program to assist homeowners in repairing and replacing failing septic systems in the Buffalo River Watershed. The successful applicant will help us fulfill our mission to protect and improve water quality in the Ozarks. This position is full-time and has up to three years of dedicated funding.

Compensation: The expected salary range is $40,000-$42,000 per year. Benefits include employer paid health insurance for employees and their dependents, up to 3% employer matching retirement contribution, and 10 days accrued vacation the first year plus 3 paid time off days per year.
Job responsibilities:
Work closely with the Program Manager to build this Septic Remediation Grant and Loan Program
Coordinate the administration of the Program
Promote and advertise the Program to homeowners, installers, and government agency personnel
Review homeowner applications and ensure all requirements are met, including eligibility and income status
Receive and review all contractor signed invoices
Submit reporting documents as needed
Obtain and file notarized Mortgage and Promissory Notes
File notarized Deeds of Release and remitting to homeowner
Assist with other activities of H2Ozarks as needed
Option to work remotely, with in-office days as needed
Day travel around NWA required, occasional overnight trips possible
Key qualifications for success:
A bachelor’s degree is required with at least two years of work experience (experience may substitute for education)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Experience with financial and cost accounting, financial tracking, and record keeping
Ability to analyze and interpret information and communicate results
Creativity in marketing information and outreach
Excellence and enthusiasm in communications
Excellent attention to details
Ability to create, organize, and maintain complex files and written documents
Ability to be independent and exercise problem-solving skills
Excellent time management to meet deadlines
