Missouri Programs

H 2Ozarks has a mission to promote water quality in the Upper White River Basin through bi-state collaboration on research, education, and public policy. We strive to protect the lakes and its watershed through monitoring, outreach, and education. The Upper White River Basin includes Table Rock Lake, Lake Taneycomo, Bull Shoals Lake, and other watersheds that encompass many rivers, creeks, and streams in the Ozarks.

Clean Marina Program – H2OzarksA few of the projects we have been working and have worked on are the James river watershed-based plan, Lake Taneycomo watershed management pla n, and clean marina. The James river watershed plan is a watershed management plan to help enhance the quality of the James River. We helped complete this project at the end of 2018. Currently we are working on a watershed management plan to help enhance the quality of Lake Taneycomo.

We also have multiple septic programs that we participate in. Those programs are the Crane creek and lower James river septic remediation, septic tank pump out rebates, free septic pump-outs for low income households, and septic tank grant and loan programs.

Volunteer

We have multiple volunteer programs for people wanting to get out and take water samples to be tested. Those programs include Missouri stream monitoring and Missouri stream team.
